Empuriabrava wants to build on family tourism
EMPURIABRAVA / CATALONIA / SPAIN: One of the top objectives of the Town Hall in Castelló d'Empúries for years has been to transform Empuriabrava and make it a haven of family tourism - which has also been partly successful. And you want to keep working to get the right qualifications.
In order to advance these goals, not only has the beach become a jewel, but also fields for beach volleyball, basketball and beach football.
To preserve the seal of family tourism, for example, the restaurants have child seats and the hotels have extra beds for the little ones. In addition to the service on the beach, the Town Hall wants to expand the bicycle tourism - which is currently being sampled as part of International Mobility Week - and here within the Aiguamolls Nature Reserve. Culture is already offered in the old center of Castelló d'Empúries with its historic buildings and museums. And the nightlife? This was traditionally tailored to Empuriabrava and of course still exists today - but not as excessive as it was a few years ago. And this is how it should stay: sustainable, but not quite as wild and with limited supply.
