Quality of life is well above average in the province of Girona

According to a study by the University of Oviedo, the quality of life in the province of Girona is exceptionally high and exceeds that of many other areas in Spain many times over. Four places with more than 10,000 inhabitants have even been certified to a maximum of 100%: Girona, Olot, Banyoles and Ripoll - you can not live any better and these four cities also occupy the top positions in 643 Spain. Only in terms of education and school level are there some drawbacks and here the province is even below the Spanish and Catalan average. Quality of life percentages are composed of several factors: healthcare, culture, property quality, environment, security and economic power. In this respect, the province of Girona is very far ahead, but as already mentioned, the school education expresses the overall result, even if other points provide some compensation.

The study also revealed that the province has low levels of air pollution, low levels of noise pollution, a relatively low crime rate and an unusually high socioeconomic level. And the quality and construction of the houses surpasses quality - one can hardly believe it - the rest of Spain.

The entire province was rated 96.6% out of 100 in terms of quality of life, which considerably exceeds the national average of 89.3%.

The highest values (99%) went to Navarre and Sòria, while Andalusia and the Canaries were the worst performers, with bad education in particular affecting the overall result in these regions. In other words, little education - little quality of life.

The survey also evaluated Spain's top ten cities, with Barcelona ranking first with 100%. Although the environmental values are logically in the basement, but the exceptionally high supply of culture and the distinctive health care with numerous specialist hospitals offset this again
