Empuriabrava once again had one of the best beaches on the Costa Brava in summer

As always, it has just been announced that in the summer Empuriabrava, together with a few other places, received a very big honor: the beach was named one of the best on the Costa Brava. Currently, there are four different guidelines for determining the quality of a beach and apparently Empuriabrava has received all this year. There is the "Q" for tourism quality, which i.a. the safety, life-saving, information, cleanliness and garbage disposal, maintenance of existing facilities, access sanitation and leisure activities valued. This "Q" with its flag has received only a few places on the Costa Brava. The most famous feature is the "Blue Flag", which contains a total of 27 criteria and focuses mainly on the quality and cleanliness of the water. Then there are the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, in which independent specialists examine the quality of the water and sand and also evaluate the condition of the installations and the waste situation. And then there is the most prestigious award, the "emas" awarded by the European Union, and to get it there are loads of regulations and more to pay attention to.
