Crisis prevention list for Germans at the consulate in Barcelona

BARCELONA / CATALONIA / SPAIN: All Germans living abroad may register with the responsible German mission abroad in a list of Germans pursuant to § 6 (3) of the German Consular Code.

The password-protected online procedure has made this registration even easier.

The entry in the German list is a voluntary measure. The Federal Foreign Office advises to make use of this possibility, so that the local diplomatic missions can - if necessary - quickly get in touch with the Germans in their district in crisis and other exceptional circumstances.

In addition, there is the possibility of using the e-mail addresses to be stored in the list, e.g. to refer to upcoming federal elections and elections to the European Parliament or to provide other consular information.

The possibility of online registration replaces the previously manually maintained German lists of German diplomatic representations. We therefore ask you to register electronically via the Internet, even if you have already been entered in the so-called list of Germans.

In the future, you will automatically be asked at regular intervals to confirm or update your information. In order to ensure completeness and timeliness of registrations. Please answer the calls automatically to you in your own interest.
